100th donation makes local paper

I gave my 100th donation recently and a reporter from Niagara Falls interviewed me and put my picture and story in their weekly paper. I explained how important blood donations are to so many people and also about the shortage of donors. I also told about how I matched a man needing bone marrow, although he wasn't able to build up enough strength to go thru with the surgery, I was happy to have had the opportunity to see how this amazing process happens. The newspaper article was reprinted in the Toronto Star, and the reporter asked if they could do a follow up story, which we did and that too was in the Niagara paper. These articles have inspired others to give blood and for that I am very grateful.
