Tragic incident in Wainwright, Alberta

Canadian Blood Services joins Canadians across the country in extending our deepest sympathies to the Canadian Armed Forces, the community of Wainwright, Alberta, and everyone affected by the tragic incident. Our hearts are with those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and the families, friends, and colleagues who are grieving this heartbreaking loss. 

Our top priority is ensuring patients in Canada receive the blood and blood products they need. We are closely monitoring the needs of patients and hospitals in Alberta and will continue to work with health system partners to ensure those needs are met.
