For the past 10 years, The MOVE 98.3 radio station in Kingston, Ont. has supported patients through their annual Halloween blood drive.

In 2013, Mike Reid, the morning show co-host decided he was going to make a difference in the lives of others by becoming a blood donor. Inspired to do more, he reached out to Canadian Blood Services’ team to set up a Halloween blood drive championed by the radio station. This annual event, called Reid & Ben’s Halloween blood drive, is a fun filled day with live radio feeds, contests, prizes and donors sharing their stories.

As a proud partner in the Partners for Life program, the team advocates for blood donation throughout the year by raising awareness on air, recruiting new blood donors and filling all the appointments at their annual event.

At the 10th annual Reid & Ben’s Halloween blood drive, the team reached 794 donations during this one-day event. Thank you to all donors who gave a part of themselves to help save lives and change so many more.
