You have A- blood; only 6% of all Canadians share your blood type.
The most powerful part of A- blood can be found in the red blood cells, they can be given to patients with A-, A+, AB- and AB+ blood types – which is almost half of all Canadians! You have the power to give life to 1 in every 2 people you meet. That’s why there’s always a need for your donations.
You have B- blood and it’s one of the rarest blood types in Canada it holds tremendous power – only 1.4% of all Canadians share your blood type.
Your red blood cells can be used to help patients with B-, B+, AB- and AB+ blood types – nearly 12% of the population. That’s why there’s always a need for your donations.
You have AB+ blood, 2.5% of all Canadians share your blood type. Here’s something interesting, AB+ patients you can receive red blood cells from donors with any blood type.
Donors who are AB+ are called the universal plasma donor because this component can be transfused into any patient, regardless of the recipient’s blood type. There is power to Give Life in your plasma.
